With the swimming pool and garden this gite, Le Poirier, is perfect for couples, 4 friends or a family of four with children that don't need a cot. Great for singles too - please ask as special rates are available for this. Light, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped - this independent gîte consists of 2 main sections, La Cave (originally the wine store) and La Cabane (originally a workshop for carts and equipment) of Le Verger, a traditional longère farmhouse sitting on a quiet track amidst rolling countryside.
In Le Poirier, La Cave (a separate bedroom) has 2 single beds, and there is a separate shower room next to this bedroom. Then there is also La Cabane which is a large (20ft long) room with a French Kingsize double bed (160cm wide x 200cm long) as well as a comfortable sitting area with a sofa and 2 armchairs. There is also a dining table with 4 chairs. The kitchen is separate and there is also a walk-in shower room ensuite to La Cabane.
With super-thick original walls this accommodation doesn't get too hot even when it's scorching outside and also stays cosy if the weather is cool.
There is direct access from Le Poirier to its own private garden as well as to the main garden, which is secure for children, and to the (fenced) heated pool with a good shallow end. The pool is shared with the owners and occasional bed and breakfast guests from the main house. You also have access to a shared Games Room nearby with Pool, Table football, Table Tennis and Darts available. At Le Poirier you choose your own style of holiday - slow down and relax or be as active as you wish - there are all sorts of activities for you to enjoy on site or nearby: table tennis, boules, fishing, golf, riding, sailing, walking, bicycle trails, shopping at the many local markets, zoos, activity centres, museums .... and visits to the renowned châteaux and vineyards of the Loire Valley – or you can enjoy a bit of both - your main problem is likely to be deciding what NOT to do!
